Highgrove Entitlement

Steven Walker Communities has just received final approvals for a new 72 lot subdivision in  Highgrove, CA.  Steven Walker and it's team worked in conjunction with County staff to bring the project through what proved to be  a challenging entitlement process. The property is an approximate 10-acre site located on the corner of Mount Vernon Avenue and Center Street. Through the entitlement process Steven Walker was able to up zone the property from Medium Density Residential Housing to Medium High Residential zoning which allowed the project to deliver much needed attainable housing to the area yielding approximately 7 units per acre. The gated project includes tot lots, BBQ areas and other community amenities. The site will be a great transition between the less dense existing areas and the much higher density projects that will also be coming to the area.  The homes will feature three different architectural styles – Spanish, prairie, and farmhouse.
